We had a great session
Hey all-I will have some pictures soon and possibly some video of the recording session I did today. This session was
not one of those I've been doing all by myself-this was with the band playing live in the studio. Victor Little on Alembic and
F bass, Eric Levy on Rhodes (on his incredible Nord keyboard), Paul Van Wageningen on drums and a spot of trumpet
and flugelhorn from Mike Olmos. Mike's a younger cat-he's getting big in the SF music scene playing in the Jazz Mafia and
other fine groups-he played some cool stuff today. I did OK-I probably have to comb a few notes out of my solos because
I just couldn't hold back. I'll get a chance to do a little fixing but the music just came out wonderful. Nothing like having people really play your tunes you write in Garageband! They are not the same thing! Now I'm trying to decide what's not
going to be on the record-there's so much stuff now-I think I have over 70 minutes and that's a lot. Maybe a double album? Or another to be released later? ...Hmm....
